Art Heist Virtual Experience

Actors, through conversations and scenes, will reveal clues to the detective audience that lead them on their way… but then again, a red herring or two might present itself. Sharp sleuths will guess who the liars are and hopefully solve the case. No two virtual performances will ever be the same as the actors improvise with every interaction.

Experience a True-Crime Virtual Theater Experience! In 1990, two men dressed as cops con their way into a Boston museum and steal a fortune in art. Thirteen works of art were stolen. Worth half a billion dollars. Not one item was recovered. Not one arrest was made. Can your team crack the case? Solve The Biggest Art Heist in History!

Put your NCIS, CSI, and Law & Order skills to solve a ripped-from-the-walls, real-life master robbery of thirteen works of art, valued at half a billion dollars.

Based on the true story of the biggest art heist in history that took place on March 18, 1990, when two thieves disguised as police officers entered Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the middle of the night, telling guards they were investigating a disturbance. Valued at half a billion dollars, 13 works of art, including paintings by Rembrandt, Vermeer, and Manet were stolen. The $500 million pieces as well as the robbers remain at large today.

In this theatrical experience, you’ll be broken up into teams and meet the characters involved, hear their stories, and ask whatever questions you choose to help you zero in on the criminal mastermind behind it all. You and your group will come up with your best theory of who did it and what really happened, and rewards await the group that figures out what the experts have concluded.

How it Works

The investigator will first introduce themself and go over what to expect during the event. Guests will then be broken up into teams and the facts of the case will be provided. With visuals of the stolen artwork and the evidence in hand, teams will be put back into break-out rooms where they will look over the evidence. After looking over the dossier, teams will be brought back into the main room where they will meet and later interrogate the suspects in their breakout rooms. Once all suspects have visited each room, teams will have to reach a consensus on who was involved in the heist.

Remember, teams, are deciding who is most likely to have been involved in this art heist because as we know, the robbers were never caught.
